Looking Across the River, Bowers Beach Delaware
Here's an old undivided-back postcard, postmarked from Wyoming Delaware on September 9, 1907. The card was mailed to Mrs. Mary Jenkins in Woodside Delaware. Typically you'll see a message on the front of this type of card... because the reverse was reserved for the address only. But the front of this old beauty is clean, with just a name, "Sadie", written lightly in pencil on the lower border. I have a lot of cards from the Jenkins family and from those, know that Sadie was Mary's niece.
A lovely old scene of Bowers Beach 100 years ago. That looks like the old Kent Cottage Inn pictured in the upper left side of the postcard. Is the Heartbreak Hotel in the photo?
